The Old Mission Peninsula is an incredible peninsula in Traverse City that has numerous Vineyards, Cherry Orchards, wooded areas, beaches and lighthouse. Along this shore line and numerous locations to have a wedding and wedding reception. This is one of Traverse City’s premier destination wedding locations.
Wedding locations range from private residences overlooking Grand Traverse Bay, to the very intimate Mission Table, the absolutely gorgeous Mari Vineyard, Chateau Chantal and the Peninsula Room, among many others. Lake Michigan and Old Mission Peninsula was a wonderful break from the busy city life of Chicago, Illinois when Mike and Victoria visited here a few years ago. It was during this visit to the wineries and vineyards that they fell in love….with each other, and this location. Knowing what a special place this was, they decided to plan a destination wedding, and a weekend of celebration here on Old Mission Peninsula.
For this Destination wedding, 90 of their closest family and friends flew/drove in from all around the world to join Victoria and Mike for their wedding celebration. They promised to love and support each other for their lives together on the beautiful shore of Grand Traverse bay….they left the bay in their horse and carriage, and celebrated with wine in the vineyards for the remainder of the evening.
Mike and Victoria, you were a wonderful reminder to me of what it means to have found the love of your life, and to be grateful for the love and support family and friends have been in your lives, and continue to be. I wish you only the best, and feel so honored to have been a part of your day.
