Northern Michigan Leelanau School Wedding
MR. & MRS. BRASSAT
August 1, 2018
A few years ago, Michelle, (originally from Michigan, USA) was overseas in New Zealand and met Steve, from Germany, sparks immediately flew. They met working at a ski resort. And soon after, they decided to get a small camper van and travel the country together. During their travel, they just knew their relationship was meant to be. After living for awhile in Canada, the eventfully decided to settle in the United States.
And this summer, they were married in beautiful Northern Michigan at the gorgeous Leelanau School in Glen Arbor. The Leelanau School is situated right on Lake Michigan with a stunning river, forests, dunes and more. It is in the heart of the Sleep Bear Dunes National Park and sits a hop skip and a jump outside of the beautiful town of Glen Arbor Michigan. While the school is home to teachers and students, it has a beautiful clearing in the first for a wedding, a wedding reception under a tent, or even a beach wedding on Lake Michigan. It is an ideal private location for your Northern Michigan Destination Wedding. And this is why Michelle and Steve brought their families from Germany and the Detroit Michigan area to celebrate their marriage.
Surrounded by family and friends, Steve and Michelle were married under the tree canopy. There were smiles, laughter and tears of joy. The wedding day was multicultural, bringing in the Maori greeting (Hongi) at the end of their wedding, lovely German traditions of hanging the baby clothes and beautiful toasts to wish the couple well as they begin their lives together as husband and wife.
It was a day that I will always remember because of the sheer joy and emotion expressed, and the intimacy and closeness that these two families created as they came together. Michelle and Steve, I wish you the best as you begin your lives together. I know that you will have an incredible life together and it will be filled with exploration of this beautiful planet. Much love and appreciation, Rayan.
