This Wedding. Words cannot express the amazing day that unfolded. Melissa (my partner in crime, my second photographer) and I had a continual smile on our faces for the entire day, and we still do as we remember the day while looking at these photographs.

This wedding day was much larger than the love and marriage between Jacob and Stephen. It was about the love of their community, their family and friends, coming together to celebrate the two of them for an entire weekend in Glen Arbor at the Homestead Resort. The beauty of this location for a wedding venue, everyone is in the same place and they don’t have to travel to migrate from a house, to a condo, to the welcome reception and wedding at Camp Firefly, to the wedding reception at Bay Mountain. Because of this, you have a true destination wedding feeling on Lake Michigan.

The weekend of celebrations and kicked off with a welcome dinner and reception at Camp Firefly. The day of the wedding, we snuck out to head to Pyramid Point for a hike and some photos, and then spent the rest of the day at the Homestead and Bay Mountain. Each and every part of the day was filled with loving intention. This was a wedding that gave you all of the feels: getting ready together in the morning with their friends and dogs, their close friend marrying them during a ceremony filled with beautiful vows, phenomenal reception toasts, a surprise prerecorded song by the groom for the first dance, an epic dance party that included everyone from young to old, and it culminated with a confetti exit to close out the night. This wedding was full of everything one could hope for from their wedding. And the most important part of it all, was that each and every step of the day was celebrated with their loved ones.
